2020 brought some of the most incredible milestones for us and what better way to share those memories with the one you love than drinking some Champagne & Sparkling Wine, and in this post we will share with you what the difference is between the two. Five sparking wines we enjoyed during our wedding & honeymoon + a suggestion for which bottle to choose this Valentine’s Day!

What’s the difference between Champange & sparkling wine? All Champange is sparking wine but not all sparking wine is Champange.
Champange: Grapes that come from Champagne, France and turned into sparkling wine. Grapes used in this region are typically Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir turned into sparkling wine and can be called Champagne as long as it passes the rigorous and specific wine making method.
Sparkling wine: Grapes that come from any other region outside of Champagne, France that turns typically chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier grapes into sparkling wine.
Tip: When looking to drink sparkling wine at a restaurant, instead of asking for a champagne list, ask for sparking wines they serve in order to get a list of all.
