cocktail | wine | quarantine

With social distancing at an all time high for society. Netflix binge’s of; Love is Blind, Tiger King and Ozark seems to be consuming most of our time, so we want to ensure everyone is indulging on the right cocktail’s and wine for our nationwide quarantine.

Whether your making a midweek cocktail for your work “conference call”, pouring a glass of wine to watch the last episode of tiger king, and yes Carole murdered her husband. Here are our top 5 cocktails & wine for your quarantine enjoyment:

1. Cadillac Margarita | This is not your ordinary margarita, grab your cocktail shaker and get ready for a luxury cocktail at home.

Step 1: Put ice in your cocktail shaker (if you do not have one substitute for a mason jar)

Step 2: two oz. tequila (we prefer reposado)

Step 3: one oz. Grand Marnier (orange liqueur)

Step 4: three oz. Margarita Mix (Stirrings Simple Margarita)

Step 5: one oz. fresh squeezed lime juice

Shake all ingredients together, cover the rim of your cocktail glass with lime juice to coat in salt, add ice and then pour your drink.

Finishing Touch: add fresh orange and lime wedge.

2. Aperol Spritz | Spring is in the air and so is our favorite Italian aperitif.

Step 1: Grab a stemmed wine glass and fill with ice cubes

Step 2: Pour two oz. Aperol

Step 3: add 4 oz. of prosecco

Step 4: top with San Pellegrino (or sparkling water of your choice)

Finishing Touch: add a blood orange to dress your drink and you are ready for spritzing season.

3. Tequila Sunrise | Ready to mix up your sunday brunch from your average mimosa? Grab some tequila and OG and let’s get started!

Step 1: Grab your beer glass, add ice.

Step 2: two oz. tequila

Step 3: pour OJ to the top, and stir

Step 4: 1/2 oz. grenidine pour over top, do not stir

Finishing touch: add a maraschino cherry to dress.

4. Mainque Chardonnay, 2017 | We don’t know about you, but those mid afternoon conference calls go a lot better with a nice crisp Chard.

5. The Dissident Red Blend, Mark Ryan 2017 | With all the cooking we are all doing at home, splurge on a nice bottle of red for that perfect steak, pasta, or our favorite combination beef enchiladas.

We hope you enjoy these cocktails & wine to spice up your next week of quarantine. We would love to hear your thoughts on your favorite binge worthy shows, recipes & of course wines.
